Aimed at SEND young people with an EHCP and young people with learning difficulties. Provides a toolkit for professionals to help young people with their choices in line with the preparation for adulthood process around careers, independent living, social and health categories by improving self-awareness, visual goal setting and actions. The toolkit is also designed around our ASPIRE impact measurement, it is visual and interactive and can feed directly into the PFA and EHCP process.

Developed by careers professionals at seeds of change in association with SEND specialists at Reach for Inclusion.

The resources are tailored to support visual and communication needs in line with Blanks communication levels in order to ensure the learner has cognitive understanding of the tasks being asked of them in a simple, clear and engaging format.

Resources are for those learners with moderate learning difficulties. Young people receiving SEND support/ EHCP in mainstream or in specialist schools and colleges who require specialist support to access the curriculum.

Helps your school /college to fulfill Gatsby Benchmarks 1, 2, 3 and 8. Can add value to your careers programme and help improve personal guidance in your school/ college. This enables guidance interviews to become more meaningful, effective and therefore provide a more efficient use of time.

Can help schools and colleges meet their statutory requirements relating to SEND, EHCP and preparation for adulthood requirements. It provides an easy, engaging approach to capture ‘the voice’ of young people (including those non- verbal communicators) that can easily feed into PFA and EHCP documentation and reviews thereby aiding SENCO’s and support staff in their role.

Helping with post 16/19 transition and beyond. Can be used from yr7 onwards.

Each pack contains:

• Four packs: skills cards, (divided into 5 colour coded categories) with pictures. Understanding me cards, (qualities/ values what makes them unique), My Future cards (divided into 4 sections relating to EHCP outcomes) My actions (divided into ASPIRE impact assessment categories)
• PDF ‘eye catching’ handouts that can be used alongside the cards for group sessions.
• Lesson plans for how to use in a group and 1-1 sessions in different ways. (the number of packs needed as a minimum is half the class number in order to work in pairs but these can be used many times with different classes and year groups)
• Provides ‘in depth’ careers guidance in a fun, interactive and easily accessible format.

Young people will be able to:

• Identify their skills based on likes, dislikes and level of competence.
• Identify their super strengths and skills gaps for improvement.
• Understand what is important to them and what makes them unique.
• Improve self-awareness to then help with future job, work or volunteering ideas.
• Identify what they want in the future relating to 4 categories of employment, careers/independent living/social and health.
• Identify where they are at now based on the ASPIRE impact tool and action steps forward.
